Sermon

This Week's Message:

Life Lessons from a King

The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucifiedHe is not here; he has risen, just as he said.  Matthew 28:5,6

This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen Him go into heaven.” Acts 1:11

give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. John 10:28

He Himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else.  Acts 17:25

But if a widow has children or grandchildren, these should learn first of all to put their religion into practice by caring for their own family and so repaying their parents and grandparents, for this is pleasing to God.  1 Timothy 5:4

Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith 1 Timothy 5:8

But here is how God has shown his love for us. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.  Romans 5:8

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  John 3:16

For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to whom he is pleased to give it.  John 5:21

The beginning of the good news about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God,   Mark1:1

… then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”  Acts 4:10,12

Then John gave this testimony: “I saw the Spirit come down from heaven as a dove and remain on him. And I myself did not know him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, ‘The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.  I have seen and I testify that this is God’s Chosen One.”  John 1:32-34

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.  2 Chronicles 7:14

Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord   Acts 3:19
